UP Weather Update: Due to reactivation of monsoon activities in UP, it is raining in different parts of the state. However, due to light rains, humid conditions are also prevailing. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has now issued an alert for heavy rains in the state.

According to the Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder at one or two places in the state on Thursday. During this period, there are chances of heavy rain at one or two places in Western UP. There may be rain and thundershowers at many places in Purvanchal.

After this, on September 8, there is a possibility of lightning at one or two places in Uttar Pradesh and heavy rains are expected at one or two places in western Uttar Pradesh. During this, rain and thundershowers may occur at many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, on September 9, similar weather is expected in the state.

On September 10, there are chances of rain and showers at one or two places in Western UP and at many places in Eastern UP. After this, on September 11 and 12, there may be thunderstorms at one or two places in Western UP and at many places in Purvanchal. There is no possibility of any major change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the state during the next four days.

According to meteorologists, the monsoon is now reaching the center of the low pressure area towards the south-east through Ganganagar, Hisar, Meerut, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Raipur. A trough is extending from the cyclonic circulation associated with the low pressure area over northwest and west central Bay of Bengal to southeast Uttar Pradesh through Chhattisgarh.

A low-pressure area lies over northwest and adjoining parts of west-central Bay of Bengal near south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coast. It is expected to move in the west direction in South Odisha and South Chhattisgarh. An associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.
