UP Weather Today: Amidst the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh, dark thick clouds covered Lucknow, Kanpur and surrounding districts since Friday morning. After some time it started raining heavily. The roads in Lucknow became waterlogged after one hour of rain. A drop in temperature has also been recorded due to strong winds before the rains. After the rain, people have heaved a sigh of relief in the humid heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for heavy rains with strong winds at different places across the state till August 20. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy rains for the next three days in the districts around Bundelkhand and Prayagraj. The forecast of light rain has been issued across the state including many other districts of western Uttar Pradesh for the whole week. Sporadic rains were also recorded at different places across the state, including Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Bahraich, Jhansi, in Lucknow since Friday morning. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for light to moderate rain at different places. At the same time, scattered rains will continue with the movement of clouds in Lucknow and surrounding districts.
