UP School Winter Vacation: Winter in UP, winter vacation declared in primary schools from December 31

Lucknow News: The effect of cold wave has started increasing significantly in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. Melting is increasing in the morning and evening as well as during the day. The Meteorological Department has predicted the mercury to fall further in the new year with the end of the year. Along with this, there are chances of rain in many districts. In such a situation, children going to school in the morning are facing a lot of problems. Parents are sending their children to school with caps, sweater-coats and gloves, so that they can protect themselves from the cold wave. In such a situation, now the decision has been taken to have holidays in the primary schools of the state. These holidays will start from the last day of the year i.e. 31st January. An order in this regard has been issued by the Basic Education Council.

Information given to all basic education officers

In view of the changing weather and shivering cold, the government has decided for holidays in the primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, winter holidays in primary schools will start from 31st December and will last till 14th January in the new year. Instructions for winter holidays have been sent by the Directorate General of School Education. This decision has been taken in view of climate change. According to this, the competent authority will also be able to change the time.

Change in school timings during cold wave

In the schools of Uttar Pradesh, the timings are changed every year in view of the cold wave. With the onset of winter, school timings in schools are from 9 am to 3 pm from October 1 to March 31. However, due to increasing cold wave outbreak, small children also face problems during this period. At the beginning of the day, after the school opens, a 15-minute prayer meeting and yoga practice is conducted. Now, in view of further increase in melting in the coming days, winter vacation has been declared in schools.

Increase in holidays due to extreme cold

Due to cold wave and extreme cold, the previously announced holidays were extended in many districts of Uttar Pradesh from December last year to January this year. These orders were implemented on all primary schools, CBSE board, ICSE and madrassas. This time holidays have been declared till January 14. After Makar Sankranti, the weather starts changing and the effect of winter gradually starts reducing. Therefore, currently winter vacation has been declared in schools till this date. It may be changed according to weather conditions.
