UP Roadways: Transport Corporation’s claims failed on Bhai Dooj in Agra, people were forced to resort to Duggar buses.

Agra News: Agra Roadways started operating buses from 5 am on Bhai Dooj. But, still there are many people who are not able to get a bus to go. In such a situation, they are forced to travel in rickety vehicles. At the same time, it was claimed by the Transport Corporation that the dangerous vehicles have been completely banned. But, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, most of the vehicles were seen loading passengers at the bus stand since morning. However, the duty of officers has been imposed by the Transport Corporation at every bus station. Sisters and brothers started leaving for their homes for the festival of Bhai Dooj. From Tuesday evening itself, crowd of people started appearing on the roads along with ISBT and Idgah bus station. Since Wednesday morning, a large number of brothers and sisters were seen standing at the bus station and on the roads, waiting for the buses. There is more demand for buses going from Agra towards Firozabad, Shikohabad, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj, Badaun, Bah, Morena, Dholpur, Fatehabad, Gwalior. However, the ridership on long distance routes is less. In such a situation, the Transport Department had talked about operating excessive buses on short routes. Along with this it was said that efforts will be made to provide a seat in the bus to every sister.

A huge crowd of brothers and sisters were seen waiting for buses at Agra’s Rambagh, Water Works and Abu Lala Dargah since 6 am on Wednesday. However, many people said that it had been more than half an hour since they had been standing waiting for the bus. But, Transport Corporation buses are not available and even if they come, they are very crowded.

On the other hand, the Transport Corporation had claimed that Dagmar buses will not run on the roads. But, Duggar vehicles were seen filling passengers at all the bus stands of Agra. The passengers told that when government buses are not available, they are forced to sit in stationary vehicles. Because brother has to reach home early to do the tilak. Agra’s Rambagh flyover, Water Works and Abbu Lala Dargah intersection are mostly occupied by Daggamar bus operators. Regional Manager of Transport Corporation BP Aggarwal says that efforts are being made to provide a seat to every sister in the bus. Officers have been put on duty at ISBT, Idgah and Bijli Ghar bus station. So that the passengers do not face any problem. The errant buses are also being controlled.
