After the meeting, the selection committee has approved the promotion of 26 officers of the Provincial Police Service (PPS) to the IPS cadre. This officer of the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police has become Superintendent of Police. Among the officers made IPS from PPS, there are 16 officers of 1993 batch. 10 officers of 1994 batch have also been made IPS officers. 13 PPS officers were senior but could not become IPS due to their service period being less than two years. Soon these officers are going to get new responsibility. In such a situation, it is believed that the government will soon transfer the officers of the level of Additional Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police.
