There are 83 candidates in the fray for the mayoral seats of 7 municipal corporations of Uttar Pradesh. The fate of all these candidates will be sealed in the EVM today. Along with this, 3840 candidates are trying their luck in the election field for 581 posts of councilors of municipal corporations. At the same time, 969 candidates are in the fray for the post of president in 95 municipal councils. Along with this, 13315 candidates are in the fray for 2520 councilor seats in the municipality. 2942 candidates are contesting for the post of presidents of 276 Nagar Panchayats and 17997 candidates for the post of 3459 members. The public will decide the fate of all these candidates today.
