UP News: Yogi government will give 40 lakh assistance for branding of milk products, 5 lakh will be given for this work

Lucknow. After making Uttar Pradesh the number one state in milk production, the Yogi government is now encouraging milk products to get a new identity and branding on the global stage. For this, CM Yogi has decided to give many other concessions along with subsidy to establish milk products globally in Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Milk Production Promotion Policy-22. Not only this, the Yogi government has decided to give Rs 20 lakh every year for three years for the branding of milk products. This amount will be Rs 40 lakh for export promotion. 50 percent of the total cost will be subsidized for sending product samples to other countries. At the same time, a grant of five lakh rupees will be given for standardization of products.

Samples of milk products sent abroad, Yogi government will give grant

The Yogi government is running several schemes to revive the dairy sector which has turned into a sick sector in the previous governments. Its effect is also visible now. Commissioner of Milk Development Department Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil said that the Yogi government has brought many incentives for milk products to make the dairy sector strong and self-reliant. In these, branding of milk products, promotion of milk production in the state, installation of new plants, establishment of cold chain, purchase of milk center equipment, installation of bulk milk cooler, refrigerated van, cooling van, road milk tanker, purchase of ice cream trolley. It is giving huge subsidy for the same.

An amount of Rs 40 lakh is being given for incentive

In order to promote the export of milk processed products of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is giving subsidy of 25 percent and a maximum of Rs 20 lakh on the total expenditure on transportation from road to airport, sea port. Similarly, an amount of Rs 40 lakh is being given for export promotion, which will be provided on the basis of exports through ships or aircraft. Not only this, for the purpose of encouraging exports, 50 percent of the total cost or a maximum of five lakh rupees is being given as a grant for sending samples of milk products to other countries.

Exemption being given for 10 years in the electricity bill of the new plant

In the new milk policy-2022, the Yogi government has made a provision of giving a grant of 5 lakhs on the patent and design of the product along with encouraging the standardization of milk products. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced exemption in electricity duty for 10 years to promote new milk processing plants in the new policy. Under this policy, stamp duty is being exempted for buying land or taking land on lease for a new plant.
