UP News: TTE who beat up female passenger at Bareilly Junction suspended, action taken after video goes viral, investigation started

Bareilly News: The TTE accused of beating a female passenger at Bareilly Junction in Uttar Pradesh has been suspended. Along with this, investigation into the matter has been handed over to the Chief Commercial Inspector. According to railway officials, after the investigation report comes, disciplinary action will be taken against two other women TTEs. According to the incident, three women TTEs had surrounded a woman passenger on platform number five of the junction at around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. A TTE named Asha Gangwar slapped the female passenger several times. Another female TTE also held the hand of the passenger. Later, the woman passenger was pulled by his collar. A passenger named Ashish Kumar made a video and posted it on social media. This video went viral on social media. Questions started being raised on the Railways regarding this. Asha Gangwar was suspended after she finally took action after being criticized by the railway officers.

Bareilly Izzatnagar Division PRO Rajendra Singh said that no written complaint has been received yet regarding the matter. Suspension action has been taken on the basis of viral video on social media. After the investigation report comes, disciplinary action will be taken against the two other TTEs seen with Asha Gangwar in the video. Whereas Inspector GRP Ajit Pratap Singh said that no complaint has been received till now. A report will be filed when the complaint is received.

People expressed strong reaction on social media regarding this incident on platform number five in Bareilly. He expressed strong displeasure against the railway officials regarding the matter. An ex-user named Shankar Lal has called it shameful and condemnable. A user named Aslam Saifi has also demanded action. Sanjay Tripathi has written that the customer is like God. The train runs on the tracks only when the customer buys the ticket. The female TTE wearing a black coat does not understand this.
