Agra: On Thursday, a health department team raided a hospital running at Bhagwan Talkies intersection in Agra on the complaint of a patient. The health department team found the ICU operating in the hospital without a doctor. Also, the staff present in the hospital was completely untrained. However, as soon as the health team arrived, a ruling councilor also came forward to recommend the hospital. Due to which the health team also appeared under pressure and went back after giving instructions not to admit patients in the hospital.
According to the information received, a team of the Health Department, under the direction of Agra ACMO Dr. Amit Rawat, had arrived to raid the private hospital located near Bhagwan Talkies intersection. As soon as the health department team arrived, there was a stir in the hospital. After this the team started investigation in the hospital. During the investigation by the health department team in the hospital, it was found that no doctor was present on the spot in the ICU which was being operated in the hospital. Also, when this was discussed with the hospital staff, they could not give any satisfactory answer.
Untrained staff found doing duty
The health team also took information about the staff present in the hospital. In which it was revealed that the staff present in the hospital was not registered as a paramedical. The patients were being treated and looked after illegally by untrained staff in the hospital. As soon as the health department team reached the hospital, a BJP councilor reached the spot to make recommendations on behalf of the hospital. The councilor talked to the health team for a long time. After which the health department team gave instructions not to admit any patient in the hospital in future and went back.
CMO said investigation is going on
Agra’s Chief Medical Officer Arun Srivastava said that Rs 50,000 was taken in the name of fitting a plate to a patient at Srihari Hospital located at Bhagwan Talkies. When the patient reached another hospital and got the checkup done, it was found that the plate had not been fitted to the patient. After the patient’s complaint, the team was sent to the hospital. Where many negligence has been found. The investigation is still going on and strict action will be taken.
