Bareilly : On Tuesday, SPs demonstrated in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh regarding rising inflation. SP says that the UP government claims to provide 24 hours electricity supply in the cities, but the situation is such that it has become difficult to get electricity supply even for 8 hours in the cities. Alleged that inflation is increasing due to the anti-people policies of the Central Government. Also sent a memorandum addressed to the Governor.
Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders staged a protest on Tuesday under the Gandhi statue located at Chowki Square in the city. The SP made sharp attacks against the government. SP officials said that the life of the common people has become disturbed due to rising inflation.Food Commodities and expensive vegetables have spoiled the budget of every household. He said that there is a need to control this. He told the state government to soon bring petrol and diesel under the ambit of GST. He said that this will reduce the prices of petroleum products. The general public will be able to get direct benefits. He expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of electricity supply from the city to the villages. He said that people are very upset due to this. He said that the BJP government’s promise of 24-hour electricity supply to the cities is only on paper. He said, local faults have become a serious problem in various areas of the district. Due to this, the public is very troubled. Due to frequent tripping of electricity, it has become difficult to charge even the inverter. JE level officials do not even pick up the phone. Due to this, the public is worried. The problems are also not resolved in time. Concern was also expressed over the rising cost of electricity.
Demand to reduce electricity prices, anger over broken roads
SP demanded to reduce the electricity prices. Said, UP has the highest electricity prices, whereas like other states, electricity is available at low prices. Due to this, poor consumers are not able to even pay the electricity bills. Cases of electricity theft. are also increasing due to rising electricity bills. Roads from the city to the countryside are broken. Accidents are happening every day due to potholes. The roads should be repaired so that the travelers can reach home safely. Major roads like Bareilly-Badayun Road, Sanjay Nagar Road, Qila to Qutub Khana etc. Described as the worst.
Underpass at cremation ground crossing at early hour
People are facing a lot of problems due to the cremation ground crossing of the city. SPs demanded to make an underpass on the cremation ground crossing soon. Stray animals ruined their crops. Farmers are already troubled by inflation. But, their crops are being destroyed by stray animals. SP demanded to get rid of stray animals. Expressed concern over cases being filed against those raising concerns against stray animals. Public is also troubled by the menace of stray dogs and monkeys. These should be resolved. .
