On the lines of Shilpgram in Agra and Lucknow, now the idea of working on such a scheme in Mathura is also being considered. The land of Gram Panchayat Jachauda has been selected in Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad. This land is situated between Mathura and Adige. In this village, a shop and open theater will be arranged for the craftsmen in Shilpgram. Let us tell you that Shilpgram is present in Tajganj area of Agra. Every year a grand event of Taj Mahotsav is organized here, in which craftsmen from many states come to showcase their craftsmanship. Besides, tourists from India and abroad also come here to participate. Now on similar lines, work is being done to connect the pilgrimage city Mathura with such a scheme.
Land is being searched to build Shilpgram
Along with religious events, cultural activities are also increasing rapidly in Mathura. Such events are being organized outside the temples also. This also includes exhibitions organized by various central agencies including Brajraj Utsav. Now a site is being selected to build Shilpgram for all these events. For this, the land of Jachauda Gram Panchayat, located on Mathura Govardhan Marg, east of Adig, has been selected. About 25 acres of land here belongs to the Gram Panchayat. The district administration has also allotted land for the Home Guard office at the same place. The possibility of establishing Shilpgram on the remaining land is being explored by Uttar Pradesh Brij Teerth Vikas Parishad.
Various exhibitions will be organized
Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad plans to build Shilpgram on the pattern of Tajganj in Agra and Lucknow. So that the artisans will get a designated place to showcase their products. Various exhibitions can also be organized here. On the proposal of Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, Govardhan Tehsil Administration is measuring the selected land. Tehsil employees have also taken stock of this land. Tehsil records are also being scrutinized.
