UP News: Security, self-reliance and respect of half the population is the top priority of the government-CM Yogi Adityanath

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Gorakhpur on Saturday that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, security, self-reliance and respect of half the population is the top priority of the government. Apart from providing an environment of security to women, many schemes are being run by the Central and State Government for their self-reliance and respect. To empower women, PM Modi has ensured 33 percent women’s reservation in Parliament and Assembly by passing the Nari Vandan Act. CM Yogi was addressing the free sewing machine distribution ceremony organized under the banner of Maharana Pratap Education Council on Saturday.

In the function held in the grounds of Maharana Pratap Inter College, sewing machines were distributed to 1150 women and girls to make them self-reliant. Everyone was also given a blanket. CM Yogi gave sewing machines and blankets to 12 girls. Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad has taken this unique initiative of providing free sewing machines to women and girls in collaboration with JK Group Kanpur under the Mission Shakti of Unnat Bharat Gram Abhiyan. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that India cannot be made strong and capable without the empowerment of half the population. For this, the path to self-reliance of women will have to be paved by providing an environment of security. The feeling of respect will emerge only through security and self-reliance. The central and state governments are working with full commitment on these three aspects.
