Bareilly: The arbitrariness of e-rickshaw drivers has been curbed in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. E-rickshaws from the countryside will not come to the city. Strict instructions have been given for this. Commissioner Saumya Aggarwal has set 6 routes for operating e-rickshaws in the city. These e-rickshaws will be run on the prescribed route. With this, it is expected to get rid of the jam caused by e-rickshaws in the city.
Traffic police and transport department will monitor e-rickshaws
For a long time, there were complaints of minors and untrained people operating e-rickshaws on arbitrary routes in the city. Due to this, accidents were also happening. These e-rickshaws were running from the city to the countryside, and on the National Highway. But now they have been banned. Traffic Police and Transport Department will monitor e-rickshaws. Parking arrangements will also be made for e-rickshaws in the city.
Driving license (DL) mandatory for e-rickshaw drivers
Along with this, driving license (DL) has been made mandatory for e-rickshaw drivers. A campaign will also be launched for DL checking. Action will be taken if there is no DL, driving license of e-rickshaw drivers will be checked. If there is no DL, action will be taken. For the safety of the passengers, the right side of the e-rickshaw will be completely closed. Along with this, instructions have been given to make the passengers sit from the left side only. This new system will be implemented from July 20.
color coded routes
Along with this, color coding will be done. E-rickshaws will ply on the prescribed route in the city only by color coding, if found plying on any other route, it will be seized. In this, red colored e-rickshaws will go from Junction to Subhash Nagar, Chopla Square, Navalti Square, Old Bus Stand, Siklapur, Bareilly College, Ayub Khan Square. Yellow colored e-rickshaws will go from Satellite Bus Stand to Satellite via Shahmat Ganj, Kalibari, Bareilly College Tiraha, Ayub Khan Chauraha, Navalti Chauraha, Old Bus Stand, Siklapur.
Action will be taken if found on other route
Blue colored e rickshaws from Junction to Satellite via Cantt area, Kadharpur, Biyabani Kothi, Green colored e rickshaws from Kohadapir Petrol Pump Tiraha via Kudeshia gate to Izzatnagar station, Pink colored e rickshaws from Izzatnagar station to Kila railway crossing, The saffron-coloured e-rickshaws will ply from Delapir via Hartman flyover, Sanjay Nagar, Model Town, Brick Pajaya, Shahmatganj overbridge, Sai Mandir, East Gate of Bareilly College to Gandhi Udyan via Hartman flyover.
