Kanpur News: A girl working as a Project Executive Officer in IIT Kanpur committed suicide by hanging herself in her campus residence. Researcher Dr. Pallavi Chilka (35) was a resident of Odisha and had taken admission here in the month of August this year. His body was found hanging from the fan in the hostel room on Tuesday in a suspicious condition. It is being told that the cleaning staff knocked on the door of Dr. Pallavi’s room. When he did not get any response, he informed the IIT officials about the matter, after which the officials called Kalyanpur police to the hostel, then the matter came to light. The police called the forensic team on the spot and investigated. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The family members have been informed about the incident.
