Bareilly : Faridpur police station of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday arrested 4 opium smugglers with 5 kg of drugs. These drugs were being prepared for supply in the National Capital Region (NCR). But before that the police arrested all four along with the bus. All of them were smuggling opium by bus. The police also seized the bus. Faridpur police station says that the police were patrolling on Tuesday. During this, they stopped a bus going towards Delhi and investigated. In this, Mahfooz, resident of Dhawarsi village of Adampur police station area of Amroha district, Shoaib, resident of Lalianna village of Kithore police station area of Meerut district, and Sanjay, resident of Mohalla Farrukhpur of Basit, Faridpur Kotwali police station area, have been arrested with 5 kg of opium doda powder. An FIR has been registered against him under the sections of NDPS under crime number 673/2023. He told during police interrogation that he supplies illegal narcotics by bus to Delhi and NCR region.
Both the accused who committed fatal attack with shovel arrested
Shahi police station of Bareilly Dehat has arrested two accused who committed a fatal attack with a shovel on Tuesday. The police arrested the accused Jitendra and Prempal and sent them to jail. Both these accused are residents of Nada Faridpur village of Shahi police station area. They had injured the victim by attacking with a shovel. Police have also recovered the shovel.
Wife accused of divorce for not getting car as dowry, FIR registered
Nasreen, a resident of Purana Shahar of Baradari police station area of the city, has accused her of giving triple talaq for not giving a car as dowry. The police have registered an FIR against the accused, her husband, brother-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. The victim told the police that The accused was married in July 2022. After this, discord started in the house. This matter also reached the Women’s Counseling Centre. But, no reconciliation took place. The victim accused her of throwing her out of the house by giving triple talaq at 9 pm on 29th September. On the orders of the Women’s Commission, Baradari Police has registered an FIR and started investigating the matter.
