Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting on Monday and gave directions to the officials in this regard. This decision of the government will encourage the conservation of stray cattle. CM has also emphasized on increasing milk production.
Upla will be received at the funeral site from destitute cattle
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that now in Uttar Pradesh, 50 percent of the total wood used at the cremation ground-cremation ground should be made of cow’s upla-goitha. This upla will be made available from destitute cowshed. This income from Goitha will be used for the management of Govansh Sthal. Officers have been ordered to inspect them regularly. Everyone will have to send the inspection report to the government.
75 large cattle breeding sites will be ready in 06 months
So far 274 large cattle protection centers have been activated in the state for the protection of cattle. In 06 months, the target of preparing the remaining 75 large cattle sites will be completed. The CM has asked to deploy caretakers at the cow protection sites. It will be the responsibility of the Care Tech to make all necessary arrangements in case of illness or death of the cattle.
Government is giving ₹ 900 every month to those who serve cows
So far, 17.74 lakh cows have been handed over to the general public under the Mukhyamantri Sahabhagita Yojana, run for the protection of cows. Along with this, 3598 cows have been given to the families with malnourished children under the Nutrition Mission for the availability of milk. An amount of ₹ 900 per month is being made available every month through DBT to all the families serving the cows. Instructions have been given to nominate a Deputy Collector level officer at the local level for cattle verification.
