UP News: NIA will investigate Naxalite network in Purvanchal, case registered against 5 Naxalites arrested from Ballia, takeover

After finding concrete evidence of increasing activity of Naxalites in Purvanchal of UP, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has started investigation. UP ATS had arrested five Naxalites with weapons in Ballia on August 16 and registered a case, the investigation of which has now been handed over to NIA. A new case has been registered in this regard at the NIA police station in Lucknow and investigation has been started under the leadership of DIG. Let us tell you that after connecting the wires of this network to many cities including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Deoria, Chandauli, Azamgarh, NIA conducted a raid on September 5 and collected important evidence. Meanwhile, based on the input received by UP ATS, five Naxalites Tara Devi, Lallu Ram, Satya Prakash, Rammurat and Vinod Sahni, who were holding a secret meeting in Ballia on August 16, were raided and arrested. During this time, 9 mm pistol, cartridges, seven mobiles, laptop, Naxalite literature of banned organization, pamphlets and ten thousand rupees were recovered from them. ATS had also registered a case against them, which has now been taken over by NIA.

ATS investigation had revealed that Pramod Mishra alias Budhau alias Ban Bihari alias Doctor Saheb of the Central Committee of CPI (Maoist) Naxalite organization had formed an ad-hoc committee in Purvanchal. Women and men were being recruited in many districts of Lagata Purvanchal through the secretary of the organization, Santosh Verma alias Mantosh, resident of Ballia. Also, a conspiracy was being hatched in Purvanchal to select an anti-government movement and turn it into an armed movement. For this, training in using weapons was also being given in the forest.

The arrested Naxalites had very dangerous intentions

Tara Devi alias Manju alias Manisha, who has been arrested by ATS, has been involved in Naxalite activities for 18 years. She was working closely with Naxal’s MO (Mass Organization) and associates of mask organizations to recruit new active members. Was recruiting new people along with old underground members. Their objective was to overthrow the government system through armed rebellion by mobilizing people of Naxalite ideology against the Indian government. She was collecting donations and levies and collecting weapons for her party CPI (Maoist) to establish the Naxalite government. On the instructions of the Central Committee leaders, he was increasing Naxalite activities in UP by making Ballia, Azamgarh, Varanasi and Chandauli the centres. Apart from Ballia, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Chandauli of UP, a conspiracy was being hatched to establish CPI (Maoist) rule by expanding Naxalite activities in all the districts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh. In the diary recovered from him, the names of Naxalites killed in the encounter and details of funding to the organization were also found.

Two cases were registered against Naxalites

After finding out the increasing activity of Naxalites and their dangerous plans in all the districts of Purvanchal of UP, NIA had raided many districts including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chandauli, Deoria, Azamgarh on September 5. During this time, after finding many suspicious documents, electronic devices, diaries, etc., NIA had registered a case at its police station in Lucknow. During the investigation, evidence was found that the Naxalite network was also connected to Banaras Hindu University. NIA investigation had revealed that Pramod Mishra, who was lodged in a jail in Bihar, was leading the CPI (Maoist) cadre and Over Ground Workers (OGWS) to revive the Naxalite organization in Purvanchal. Pramod Mishra was entrusted by the Core Committee with the task of waging a war against the Government of India by organizing many frontal organizations and student wings of Purvanchal.

Two girl students associated with BHU were also interrogated

In the first FIR registered by NIA in this case, accused Manish Azad and Ritesh Vidyarthi and their associates Vishwavijay, Seema Azad wife Vishwavijay, Amita Shireen were named. Investigation had revealed that Manish Azad, Kripa Shankar, Soni Azad, Ritesh Vidyarthi, Akanksha Azad and Rajesh Azad etc. were trying to revive the CPI (Maoist) organization in Purvanchal. NIA had also interrogated two BHU students, Akanksha Azad and Siddhi, associated with Bhagat Singh Chhatra Morcha. A mobile phone, two laptops, magazines and papers were seized from both their rooms. Akanksha Azad was also interrogated by NIA in Lucknow. At the same time, Bihar Police had raided an illegal arms factory associated with this organization and recovered many weapons, which were to be used in UP and Bihar. At the same time, NIA has also taken over the case registered by ATS because the Naxalites arrested in Ballia are also connected to Pramod Mishra.
