Agra : A newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself on the eighth day of her marriage. When the newly married bride’s family went to meet her, she was found hanging. The parents informed this to the police station. Anand Kumar Bhrigu, 39, Triveni Nagar Garhi Bhadauria, resident of Agra, had solemnized the marriage of his daughter Sandhya with Gyanesh Kumar, son of Mahesh Chandra, resident of Ratanpur police station Hari Parvat on 29 November. The father of the newlywed told that during the marriage, he had given a lot of things to his in-laws as per his status. The wedding cost around Rs 16 lakh. At the wedding, he also gave a car Alto K10 to his in-laws. Anand Kumar told that on December 3, he had brought his daughter back home after her tenth class. After which her daughter told that her husband Gyanesh Kumar and other people of her in-laws were demanding additional dowry from her. He says that this time when you return home, bring Rs 5 lakh in cash and a four-wheeler worth about Rs 10 to 12 lakh. If you do not bring this thing then do not come here and if you return home empty handed then the consequences may be bad for you.
Mother-in-law informed about death on phone at night
Anand Kumar told that on December 5, her husband Gyanesh and his friend Mohit came to my house to take my daughter Sandhya. I happily bid farewell to my daughter with him. During this, Sandhya’s husband Gyanesh while walking said that your daughter must have told you something, make arrangements for it. I said, son, I have spent a lot on the wedding and will keep spending from time to time. Sandhya’s father told that on December 6, at around 12:00 in the night, we got a call from Sandhya’s mother-in-law. He told that your daughter has died. After which we reached our daughter’s in-laws house and found our daughter hanging dead. The father of the deceased says that due to non-payment of dowry, my daughter’s husband Gyanesh, mother-in-law, father-in-law and other people of her in-laws have murdered her under a conspiracy. Mohit, brother of the deceased newlywed, said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered by the police station. And in this case the groom, his brother and cousin, friend, mother and aunt have been taken into custody.
