Lucknow: A new train will run directly from Mau Railway Junction in UP to Mumbai. On November 22, the new weekly train from Mau Railway Junction to Mumbai will be inaugurated by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav virtually from Delhi at 3.15 pm. This train will start from Mau Junction and go to Mumbai via Mohammadabad Gohna, Azamgarh, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Prayagraj. Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma will represent the people of Mau in the inaugural program.
On the request of Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma, arrangements have been made for a direct train from Mau to Mumbai. Minister AK Sharma said that the Government of India has given a big gift to Mau district. To facilitate the travel of Mau residents to Mumbai, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had written a letter requesting to run the train. After this, approval has been given to run the new weekly express train.
He told that under North Eastern Railway, only Godan Express is operated on the Prayagraj-Kanpur railway section from Mau Shahganj district of Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai. Which goes from Mau to Mumbai via Prayagraj, Kanpur, Agra, Kota, Ratlam, Surat.
Due to the large number of passengers, there was a need to operate a new train on this route. Now it has been approved. The running of this new train will give further impetus to the development of Purvanchal. Along with passenger facilities, trade from Mau and Purvanchal will gain momentum and the industry will improve.
