UP News: New Gorakhpur will be settled in 6 thousand acres, this is GDA’s plan for the land.

Gorakhpur: The Development Authority is going to start preparations to develop New Gorakhpur, so that the housing of the people can be completed. The first installment has been given by the government. To establish New Gorakhpur, GDA has talked to the farmers twice. This has also been done but no consent was given from their side. Meanwhile, Gorakhpur Development Authority had made it clear that if talks are not reached with the farmers regarding land, then steps will be taken towards compulsory acquisition. GDA has almost completed the preparations for taking further steps towards compulsory acquisition. A request regarding this can be made to the Land Acquisition Officer soon. There will be no need to get the deed of sale done on the basis of consent in the process of compulsory acquisition. But this process will take at least one year. There were preparations to adopt the process of taking land for Naya Gorakhpur on the basis of consent from the people. But due to lack of consensus in the two talks, another option is being considered. Compulsory acquisition for this scheme will be done under the Land Acquisition Act 2013. A letter will be sent by the authority to the office of the Special Land Acquisition Officer along with the Gata number of the villages where land is to be acquired. After that, Section 4 will be published and an agency will be selected to study the social and economic impact of this acquisition. .The agency will submit its provisional report in about 2 months.

Public hearing will be held after the provisional report

After submitting the provisional report, an opportunity for public hearing will be given. After disposal of the objections raised in it, the agency will present the final report. After this, a multidisciplinary expert group will be formed. This group will include two economists, two sociologists, a technical expert and two heads. This group will give its report after examining the report of the agency. After this, Section 11 will be published, through which officials of measurement etc. will be found. Under this, objections will also be invited from the concerned people. After that, Section 19 i.e. final publication will be done, through which the process of payment etc. will be completed. This entire process will take at least one year. In the schemes of National Highways Authority of India, land acquisition is done under NH Act 1956. In public interest, the duration of this process has been limited. In this too, land deed is not done. In Goddhoiya project of Gorakhpur, the land is acquired without consent from the people. Land is being taken on that basis. Therefore, land deed is being done here. This process takes less time. There was a preparation to adopt this process for Naya Gorakhpur also. But the farmers did not agree.
