Lucknow : Sanjeev Maheshwari alias Sanjeev Jeeva, a notorious gangster of western Uttar Pradesh and accused in the Krishnanand Rai murder case, has been shot dead. Criminals disguised as lawyers shot Sanjeev Jeeva in the Civil Court premises of Lucknow. A girl has also been injured in this firing. Sanjeev Jeeva was brought to the Lucknow court on hearing a case.
Jeeva was considered the right hand of Mukhtar Ansari. There has been a stir in the police due to the firing in the court premises. Top officials of Lucknow Police Commissionerate have reached the spot. The attacker is being searched by sieging the area. Security has also been increased in the court premises. It is suspected that the killer’s accomplices would also have been present in the court premises at the time of the incident.
