UP News: MBBS studies in medical colleges will be in Hindi from the new session, technical terms will remain in English.

Preparations had started from last year itself to start MBBS studies in Hindi in UP. In this session, MBBS will be taught in Hindi in all medical colleges and medical institutions. For this, the Director General of Medical Education and Training has sent a letter to the Principals of all the colleges, Directors of the institutions and Vice Chancellor of KGMU. It has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh. In Uttar Pradesh also, studies were started last year at LLRM Medical College, Meerut. Books related to MBBS first year course have been prepared by the college in Hindi. Similarly, other colleges have also prepared different books in Hindi.

It will be fully implemented in the new session

Now instructions have been given to implement it completely in the new session this year. Director General of Medical Education and Training, Kinjal Singh, has sent a letter to all medical colleges, institutes and KGMU, directing them to start courses in Hindi. It has been said in the letter sent that on September 31, instructions have been given by the government to start studies in Hindi in medical colleges. In such a situation, arrangements for teaching and learning in Hindi should be ensured. It is known that Anatomy, Physiology and Bio-Chemistry are taught to first year MBBS students. Books on these subjects are available in Hindi.

Technical terminology will remain in English

Principal of LLRM Medical College, Prof. RC Gupta said that the technical terminology in the Hindi book has been kept in English only. It has also been explained in Hindi. In such a situation, it will be easier for students to understand. At the same time, General Secretary of KGMU Teachers Association, Satosh Kumar, says that students studying in Hindi medium and taking admission in MBBS will get convenience from this. Now there are sufficient number of books in Hindi. More than 60 percent of the material is in Hindi to explain it to the students. Before starting MBBS first year studies, students are taught English. If books are available in Hindi then they will learn better.
