UP News: Investment of Rs 490 crore in UP will change the face of historical heritage.

Lucknow: To make Uttar Pradesh the country’s favorite destination for tourism, the process of converting nine selected historical heritage sites including luxury hotels into ‘Adaptive Reuse Assets’ has been started. A plan has been set to improve these historical heritages through an investment of Rs 490 crore. The process of identifying agencies for this has started.

Chhatar Manzil in Lucknow will be rejuvenated with an investment of Rs 100 crore. Chunar Fort of Mirzapur and Barua Sagar Fort of Jhansi will also get makeover with an investment of Rs 100 crore each. Lucknow’s Kothi Gulistan-e-Iram, Kothi Darshan Vilas and Kothi Roshan-ud-Daula will be improved with an investment of Rs 50 crore each. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has also started the process of lease based Private Sector Participation (PSP) for the development of 10 Rahi Tourist Bungalows in the state.

The process of converting Jal Mahal in Barsana, Mathura, Shukla Pond in Kanpur Dehat and Tikait Rai Baradari in Kanpur Nagar into adaptive reuse assets through an investment of Rs 30 crore each has been started. It is noteworthy that the Yogi government is making continuous efforts to establish Uttar Pradesh as a popular destination for heritage tourism.
