UP News: Indira Bal Vihar and Food Park will change in Gorakhpur, Chatori Gali will be developed on the lines of Chandni Chowk.

Gorakhpur News: In the new year, Indira Bal Vihar Park of Gorakhpur and its surrounding area will look completely changed. The park and its adjacent food park will be developed on the lines of Chandni Chowk in Delhi. On the initiative of the Mayor and Municipal Commissioner, Indira Bal Vihar and the adjacent Foot Park located in 3400 square meters will be developed as Chatori Gali. After three attempts, a detailed project report (DPR) has been prepared and sent to the Urban Development Department for approval. It is estimated that Rs 9 crore will be spent on this entire project. In this regard, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava had met the Chief Minister in Lucknow two days ago to get the project approved. The Chief Minister has also assured to get the project approved soon. Chatori Gali will be developed on the lines of Chandni Chowk by combining the first Indira Bal Vihar of 1297 square meters and the adjacent food park of 2100 square meters. More resources will be provided here for children to play. There will be an attractive designer bench for sitting. There will also be emphasis on greenery. There will be 30 small kiosks on the road outside. Inside, 15 food stalls, Sting Plaza MP Theatre, and facilities for organizing cultural programs will be developed. A parking with a capacity of 60 two-wheelers will also be created.

Food park kiosks will be demolished

All the kiosks of the food park adjacent to Indira Bal Vihar built by Gorakhpur Development Authority will be demolished. The shops and kiosks being built there will be allotted to the allottees. Under the project itself, the place with the statue of Veer Bahadur Singh near Indira Gandhi and SSP residence on Golghar side will also be beautified. Along with planting saplings, attractive lights will also be installed there.

In this matter, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava said that apart from developing Indira Bal Vihar as Chatori Gali, the proposal of Rs 47 crore related to road drain in the new ward will soon be approved. The construction work of Chatori Gali is expected to start by the end of January. This work will be completed in six months. Here people will get a chance to enjoy the taste along with entertainment. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal said that along with developing Indira Bal Vihar as Chatori Gali, a DPR has been finalized and sent to the government for the beautification of the surrounding area. Terracotta products, the identity of Gorakhpur, will also be used in the construction. From children to the elderly, there will be many kiosk options at one center for entertainment and food lovers.
