UP News: In Noida, the husband for whom Karva Chauth fast was kept threw acid, wife’s condition critical.

Noida (Agency): On the day of Chauth, he allegedly threw acid on his wife, due to which she suffered severe burns. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Hridesh Katheria said that Vivek Kumar, a native of Salempur village in Bulandshahr district, was married to Mamta, a resident of Shobhapur village in Sambhal district in 2020 and both of them now live in Roza Jalalpur. Told that on Wednesday, the day of Karva Chauth, there was a dispute between the husband and wife over some issue, after which Vivek got angry and threw acid on his wife. He told that Mamta’s face and body were badly burnt in this incident. He told that the people nearby admitted Mamta to a hospital in Greater Noida, from where seeing her deteriorating condition, she was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Went. Katheria said that in the initial investigation, the police have found out that there is a dispute between the husband and wife since their marriage. He said that the woman’s family members have been informed about the incident and they have not yet filed any complaint in this matter.
