UP News: IIT Kanpur will make flexible heater from copper paste, air will also remain clean

Kanpur : Circuit boards and flexible heaters used in the medical field will now be made from the special copper paste developed by the scientists of IIT Kanpur. This special copper paste was developed by Dr. Ashish and Prof. Prepared by YN Mahapatra’s team. The team has got the patent of this technology. Now the institute has also given permission to give license so that this copper paste can be used in various products available in the market. This research was done in the National Center for Flexible Electronics of the institute. The team of scientists at IIT is engaged in innovation, developing new technologies and trying to reduce the price of products. Dr. Ashish and Prof. of the institute. YN Mahapatra’s team developed oxidation resistant copper paste to make conductive lines in membrane switches.

The price of electronics equipment will reduce

According to scientists, the cost of electronics equipment can be reduced by using this copper paste. It will be used in Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Solar Cell, Polyimide etc. IIT’s copper paste is more cheap and effective than the copper paste currently available in the market. This will not only increase the lifespan of the equipment but will also reduce their prices. The institute has made available the license of this technology for commercial use.

There will be no chemical reaction with the atmosphere

Scientists said that the composition of this special copper paste is oxidation resistant which will not react with any type of chemical element present in the environment. This will make its capacity more effective.

Study on celestial bodies

In the virtual laboratory of IIT Kanpur, studies and calculations are going on on the sun and stars along with celestial bodies. Efforts are being made to solve many mysteries. This was said by senior scientist of IIT Kanpur, Prof. Pankaj Jain said. He was addressing the workshop colloquium organized by IQAC and the Department of Physics at PPN College. It is almost impossible to study the Sun or stars in a real laboratory, he said on the second day of the three-day workshop. Experts have linked the Sun with the universe, Gave information about the study done on stars.
