UP News: IIT Kanpur will improve the air of Delhi NCR, pollution will be controlled through cloud seeding…

Kanpur. Amidst the deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, IIT Kanpur has come up with a solution to deal with this problem. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will now provide artificial rain (cloud seeding) to control the pollution of Delhi NCR. It is said that it has proposed the use of artificial rain to help clean pollutants and dust from the air. Let us tell you that for more than five years, IIT Kanpur has been working on the conditions necessary for artificial rain and in July It has been tested successfully. According to the report, the researchers have obtained permission from government authorities including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for cloud seeding.

Artificial rain will provide relief from air quality

Professor Manindra Aggarwal, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur, who led the project, said that artificial rain can provide temporary relief to the residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) from poor air quality for a week. However, artificial rain It requires specific meteorological conditions to occur, such as the presence of clouds with sufficient moisture and suitable winds. Cloud seeding and artificial rainfall is not an exact science and it remains to be seen whether it can work in the early winter months or on a larger scale. This also includes obtaining several approvals, including from the DGCA, the Home Ministry and the Special Security Group responsible for the Prime Minister’s security, to fly the plane to the national capital for fresh air.

Delhi Government sent proposal to IIT Kanpur

IIT Kanpur Professor Dr. Manindra Aggarwal told the media that Delhi Government has contacted him and has also sent a proposal for this. Once the MOU is signed, necessary permissions will also be required. The most important thing for its technology is clouds, which are not seen coming this week. Once this work starts, this technology can be useful in providing relief from pollution.
