Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is going to get 1000 new buses, out of which 100 will be electric buses. Not only this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also given a big gift to the women of the state. Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that the travel of women above 60 years of age is now going to be free in all the buses of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation. This has been stamped. This will also be implemented soon. He told that at present many buses are running in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. But with the addition of 1000 more buses, people will not have to worry whether it is a festival or any other journey. Buses will run continuously one after the other, which will make the journey of passengers easier. Dayashankar Singh said that the journey has been made free especially for women above 60 years of age, because they have to face difficulties.

Fares for AC buses reduced by ten percent

Let us tell you that with the onset of cold season, the Transport Department has decided to reduce the fares of AC buses. Due to possible drop in load factor and non-functioning of the air conditioning plant, the Transport Corporation has been instructed to reduce the fare. This decision will provide convenience to a large number of passengers traveling in buses. The revised rates will be applicable from 16 December 2023 to 28 February 2024. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Daya Shankar Singh said that an important decision has been taken in view of making air-conditioned services also profitable. Besides, passengers will get the benefit of traveling during winters at low cost along with protection from cold. He said that discount in bus fares will be provided from 16 December 2023 to 28 February 2024. The fare per kilometer for air-conditioned 3×2 seater buses will be Rs 1.47, for 2×2 seater buses it will be Rs 1.74 per kilometre, for air-conditioned sleeper buses it will be Rs 2.33, and for Volvo (high end) it will be Rs 2.58 per kilometre. The revised rates will be applicable from 16 December 2023 to 28 February 2024. Passengers are expected to get a lot of relief from the reduction in bus fares.
