Former strong Shiv Sena MLA Pawan Pandey of Akbarpur assembly of Ambedkar Nagar in UP has been arrested by the Lucknow STF team from his residence. An FIR was registered in Akbarpur police station against Pawan Pandey in the year 2022 for grabbing land worth crores by injecting intoxicants. After which the matter went to the High Court, where the STF was investigating the entire matter under the monitoring of the court. Now UP STF has arrested Pawan Pandey. Former Bahubali MLA Pawan Pandey is accused of giving intoxicant injection to Ajay Singh, son of Akbarpur resident Champa Devi, along with a dozen people including his associate Mukesh Tiwari, and got an agreement for land worth crores for Rs 20 lakh.

In this case, the woman had filed a case of fraud in Akbarpur Kotwali on June 5, 2022. On Champa Devi’s complaint, a case was registered against 12 people including the former MLA and two accused were immediately arrested and sent to jail. The woman had alleged that former MLA Pawan Pandey gave intoxicating injection to her son Ajay Singh and got an agreement for his property worth crores for Rs 20 lakh. A few days after getting the land agreement done, a girl named Neetu Singh was presented as Ajay Singh’s wife and an application was given to get her name registered in the municipality on the basis of fake marriage certificate and testimony. ADG STF Amitabh Yash said that Pawan Pandey was arrested from Akbarpur on Friday.
Former MLA Pawan Pandey is Bahubali
Let us tell you that in the year 1991, Pawan Pandey became MLA from Shiv Sena from Akbarpur Assembly, but after that he contested elections from Akbarpur seat several times as an independent and LJP but lost. He had also contested the Lok Sabha elections from Sultanpur district but was defeated there too. A case was also registered against Pawan Pandey in the case of demolition of Babri Masjid. CBI had also filed a charge sheet against him. At present, Pawan Pandey’s brother Rakesh Pandey is the MLA from SP’s Jalalpur seat, while his nephew Ritesh Pandey is the BSP MP from Ambedkar Nagar. In the last assembly elections, his elder son Prateek Pandey contested from BSP from Katehari assembly constituency but lost. More than 4 dozen murder, robbery and other criminal cases are registered against Pawan Pandey in many districts of UP.
