Bareilly News: Angered by the slow pace of construction work of Atal Residential School in Nawabganj, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, PWD Executive Engineer (XEN) Sanjeev Kumar has lodged an FIR against the executing agency and imposed a fine of Rs 1.27 crore. This action has been taken on the instructions of the headquarters. Along with this, a target has been given to complete the construction work by April 2024, so that studies can start from the new session. Construction of Atal Residential School is going on in Adhakata Nazrana village of Nawabganj tehsil area. This construction work will be done at a cost of Rs 71.22 crore. Funds have also been received for this. Work on class room hostel, kitchen, dining hall, three modern toilets etc. is to be done in Atal Residential School. Its tender was given to CK Construction Firm of Noida for Rs 61 crore. The Noida firm started work from 17 May 2021. At that time, the target was set to complete the work in August 2022. But, due to slow construction work the work could not be completed. Its deadline was extended several times. But even after this the work was not completed. Last time, the target was given to complete the construction work by December 31, 2023. But, this task was difficult to complete. The minister’s visit here was also near.
