Aligarh: On Tuesday, District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh reached the spot and conducted an on-site inspection of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh Raj University. At present 83.70 percent work has been completed. The construction agency has to complete the work by the end of December. The District Magistrate, taking a strict stance on the progress of the work under construction, has given strict instructions to complete the work by the end of December under any circumstances. During inspection, the District Officer found that at present most of the finishing work is in progress. Along with repeated instructions to complete the work on time, a fine of Rs. 2.25 crore has also been imposed on the construction agency. Instructions have been given to increase manpower and work in night shifts also. The internal work of Administrative Building, Academic Building, Girls and Interest Hostel has been completed. Finishing work is going on on the outer walls of the building. 10 VC and Type 5 houses are also ready. During the inspection, the DM has given instructions to dig the under-construction road and check the materials used in the construction with a view to check the quality of the works.
Construction going on in 22 acres
DM IV Singh said that in the first phase, the construction work of the state university in 22 acres area is in its final stage. Keeping in mind the future demand, 50 acres of land has also been reserved. The District Magistrate was assured by the construction agency that the work would be completed within the stipulated time.
Auditorium being built in the state university
The DM said that the Chief Minister’s intention is that there should be a huge library for the students to study. For this, a separate green grand building is also being prepared by entrepreneur and social worker Rahul Gautam. A large and spacious auditorium is also being built in the state university. The current session has started. Not only Aligarh but students of surrounding districts will benefit from the state university.
Told about construction work in progress
Executive Engineer Indrapal said that the administrative and library work in the university is complete. The structure of Academic Building 1, AAC block, plaster flooring, windows and doors work is complete. Painting, plumbing and electrification work is in progress. Academic building work on two ground floors, second and third floors is complete and external development work is in progress. The structure of men’s hostel and work of AAC block is complete. The work of windows, doors, plaster, flooring and electrification is in progress in the women’s hostel. The structure work of the public convenience center has been completed. Finishing work is in progress. The work of police post, guard room, Vice Chancellor’s residence, employee quarter is almost completed. The work of the electrical substation is at the finishing stage.
