Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and called fire brigade from several nearby districts and started controlling the fire. There is a possibility of loss worth crores of rupees due to fire in the wood market. It is being told that more than 200 shops are present in the wooden market of Kotla North area of ​​Firozabad area. A fire broke out in shops near Ramdwara located in Kath Bazaar at around 3:30 pm on Saturday night. Gradually the fire spread throughout the market and engulfed hundreds of shops. It is being told that a spark had come out from the transformer near the shops and due to this spark the shops caught fire. It was morning time and most of the shopkeepers and laborers were sleeping. When they came to know about the fire, there was a stampede among the shopkeepers and workers. All the shopkeepers started taking out goods from their shops. But, the fire was so intense that within a short time the entire belongings got engulfed in flames.

After the fire in the wood market, power supply was not stopped for a long time. In such a situation, the electrical wires also kept emitting sparks continuously. After the police information at around 4:30 am on Sunday morning, fire brigade vehicles started reaching the market and started extinguishing the fire. At the same time, other fire brigade vehicles were also called by the district administration from many nearby districts including Firozabad. According to eyewitnesses, the flames were so strong that they were rising up to 20 feet. In such a situation, the fire reached the forests of the second floor of Krishna Bhawan near Ayodhya ji.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Firozabad Mayor Kamini Rathore, City MLA Manish Asija, SP City Sarvesh Mishra, City Magistrate Rajendra Kumar, CO City Kamlesh Kumar reached Kath Bazaar with their team. At 7:00 in the morning, District Magistrate Dr. Ujjwal Kumar and SSP Ashish Tiwari also inspected the market.

SSP Ashish Tiwari, who reached the spot, said that the fire was reported at around 4:30 pm. After which the forces of four police stations and CO City and other officers reached the spot. To extinguish the fire, eight fire brigades of the district and two fire brigades of Mainpuri reached the spot. After this, fire brigades of Agra, Mathura and Etah were also called. But by then the fire had been controlled. The fire was completely extinguished by around 6:30 in the morning. There is no information about any casualty in the fire. It is being told that the fire broke out in a wooden stall and from there the fire spread to the entire market. Investigation is being done regarding the cause of the fire.
