UP News: Daughters will talk about their rights, a mega campaign will run from 16 to 22 October for awareness.

Lucknow: Yogi government’s mission Shakti Abhiyan for women’s safety, respect and self-reliance has reached its fourth phase. Now the state government is going to start a mega campaign to give more impetus to the schemes related to daughters. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Women and Child Development Department will organize an awareness week from 16 to 22 October. Various activities like street plays and sports competitions will be organized on women and child rights from 14th to 20th November.

Apart from this, through Shakti Samvad, all the District Magistrates of the state will communicate with the beneficiaries of Kanya Sumangala Yojana and Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana in their respective districts. Apart from this, Mission Vatsalya workshops will also be organized under the chairmanship of District Magistrates to speed up and effectively implement the schemes related to children, especially girls, in the state.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, along with creating awareness about departmental schemes, applications will also be made on a large scale by the Women and Child Development Department in all the districts of the state. In this, information about Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana and Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana will be given. Similarly, camps will be organized on a large scale in all the districts of the state to make destitute women aware about pension etc. after the death of their husband.

DM will communicate with women victims of violence

Through Adoption Week Celebration, an awareness week will be organized from 16th to 22nd October to rehabilitate children, especially girls, through adoption in the state. A mega event named ‘Haq Ki Baat, with the District Magistrate’ will also be organized in the state. In this, DMs of all the districts of the state will communicate with the women suffering from violence. Similarly, Yogi government will also organize Shakti workshops. In this, there will also be orientation of local and internal complaint committees constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013.

Mega events will be held for women

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Women and Child Development Department will organize various mega events and other events in the state in the coming days to make women aware of their rights. The Chief Minister’s wish is that women in the state should not only feel safe but they should also be aware of their rights and all the schemes being run for them by the government, so that they can avail maximum benefits of the schemes.
