Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day has become a powerful medium to implement the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ground. On this day in the year 2018, our government had launched the One District One Product scheme, which is giving a new identity to Uttar Pradesh today. The result of starting this program is that during the previous governments, UP’s exports were worth Rs 86 thousand crores. Today Uttar Pradesh is exporting ODOP worth Rs 2 lakh crore. He said that 96 lakh MSME units are operational in the state, which provided employment to 40 lakh people of Uttar Pradesh who returned from other states during the Corona period. Our government is providing security insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to the MSME units of the state in case of any accident or disaster. CM Yogi inaugurated the seventh Uttar Pradesh Day from Awadh Shilpgram on Wednesday. He also distributed Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman 2023-24 and launched ‘ODOP Mart Portal’ for e-marketing of ODOP products. During this, he congratulated Uttar Pradesh on its seventh foundation day and said that the world saw the potential of Uttar Pradesh through the International Trade Show organized in Noida last year. More than 500 foreign buyers had come to that trade show. CM Yogi said that on the third foundation day of the state, our government had implemented a new scheme of apprenticeship, due to which lakhs of youth are joining.
CM Yogi said that before 2017, the economic condition of Uttar Pradesh was not good, there were problems in paying salaries. There was chaos in the entire state. The state was facing an identity crisis. The youth here were forced to hide their identity. He said that after 2017, when the double engine government started working, a better security environment was created in the state. Today the results are in front of us. Today, the youth, entrepreneurs and businessmen of Uttar Pradesh do not need to hide their identity within the country but proudly call themselves from Uttar Pradesh. He said that Uttar Pradesh has strengthened its economic position in the last seven years. The situation of the state has also improved in terms of infrastructure and connectivity. CM Yogi said that earlier during festivals and festivals, there used to be deaf people in our markets like in China. Today people are gifting ODOP products, which are made by entrepreneurs and handicraftsmen of our state. He said that the spiritual and cultural heritage of India flows through Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi said that the seventh foundation day of the state is very important for us because Lord Ram himself has settled in his abode in Ayodhyapuri, one of the Saptpuris, breaking his 500 years long exile. Therefore this program of Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh becomes very important for us.
He received Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman
In the program, CM Yogi honored Lucknow-based scientist Dr. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava and Naveen Tiwari of Kanpur with Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman. Dr. Ritu played an important role in the development of India’s Mars Orbiter Mission and Chandrayaan. She was also the Deputy Operations Director of this mission. Dr. Ritu has been working for ISRO since 1997. Naveen Tiwari has established the largest independent mobile edtech platform in the world, which connects local businesses of Uttar Pradesh and India with national and international audiences. Their lock screen software is available on over 400 million smartphones globally. Entrepreneur Naveen has established his presence in 26 countries along with establishing India on the world stage. Also, 3000 people have been provided direct employment while thousands of people have been provided indirect employment. Let us tell you that in the program ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’, folk dances were presented by artists from Gujarat, Jammu-Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Sikkim and Goa. Also, artists from Bundelkhand, Awadh, Purvanchal and Braj region presented folk songs on Ram. Apart from this, devotional music was also organized under Shri Ramotsav-2024.
CM Yogi distributed various awards
Before his address, CM Yogi lit the lamp and inaugurated the craft fair and exhibition based on the development schemes of various departments on the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day. During this, he interacted with the entrepreneurs who exhibited various products and got to know their condition. He also honored many people under State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Award, Special Handicraft Regional Award, Sant Kabir State Handloom Award, Winner of Uttar Pradesh Culture Utsav and Tourism Award. Apart from this, CM Yogi also distributed toolkit and ODOP toolkit under Vishwakarma Shram Samman. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal along with other dignitaries were present in the program.
