Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says that Uttar Pradesh is the leading state in milk production. The Nand Baba Milk Mission scheme has been implemented to provide milk producers the facility of selling their milk at a reasonable price in the villages by forming milk cooperative societies in the villages. It has got good results. Milk producers should be given its benefit. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to go among the regular farmers and cattle herders in the area.

The role of women will increase in milk committees

Yogi Adityanath said that milk committees in the state have done unprecedented work in milk production, collection, sale etc. This has increased the income of our livestock farmers. CM has also described the work of institutions like Balinese Milk Producer as exemplary work. He has told the need to give further expansion to the formation of milk committees in all the districts. Describing the role of women in milk committees as important, instructions have also been given to increase their participation.

Dairy plants will be built on PPP model in five big cities

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to set up new dairy plants in Kanpur, Moradabad, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and Prayagraj districts with the help of the private sector. In this regard, the officers have been asked to do necessary as per the decision of the Council of Ministers. Availability of Cattle Catcher vehicle will be ensured at all 17 municipal corporations and district headquarters of municipalities.

71,068 consumers connected to e-commerce portal

Wide publicity should be given to the toll free helpline number for emergency assistance to animal parents. Any animal husbandry can get consultation from the doctor here anytime. Instructions have also been given for weekly review regarding animal husbandry, milk production, sale, breed improvement. Instructions have been given to strengthen the e-commerce portal for online sale of milk and milk products. So far 71,068 consumers, 89 women self-help groups and 215 Parag Mitras have been added.
