UP News: Chairman of Congress Ex-Servicemen Department expressed regret over reduction in facilities of armed forces.

Bareilly : Uttar Pradesh Congress Ex-Servicemen Department Chairman Air Marshal (retired) Ashok Kumar Goyal launched a major political attack on the BJP government in Bareilly. He alleged that the facilities of the Indian Armed Forces are being continuously cut. This is very worrying. He said, BJP Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been ruling since 2014, made big announcements during the election campaign. He had announced to provide OROP to all the soldiers. But after taking election benefits, the facilities of the armed forces are being cut.

There are many discrepancies in OROP. In this, apart from depriving the pension of JCO soldiers, special pension to the wives of martyred soldiers and OROP on the retirement pension of premature soldiers from July 1, 2014, the new recruitment scheme in the army, Agniveer, has been implemented for only 4 years. Due to this, soldiers have started leaving the training during the training itself. He was holding a meeting with ex-servicemen and workers at Bareilly Congress office. He talked about insulting the ex-servicemen of the country by not giving them military honors on the martyrdom of Punjab’s Agniveer soldier Amritpal Singh. He said, no scheme like Agniveer is implemented in any force including Central Armed, Territorial Armed/Police Force.

He advised the government to avoid taking political advantage of the Army. Vice Chairman and Coordinator of the Ex-Servicemen Department, Subhash Mishra said that another order has been issued by the BJP government on 21-09-2023. In this, disability during military service Pension Rules 2023, in place of the earlier Army Disability Rules 2008, Navy Rules 1964, and Air Force 1961, Entitlement Rules for Casualty Pensionary Award have been issued for officers and soldiers. This is like sprinkling salt on the wound.

Only industrialist friends benefit in BJP government

Bareilly Congress Committee President Mirza Ashfaq Saqlaini said that ever since the BJP’s double engine government came to power, it has been benefiting only its industrialist friends. Soldiers, farmers, unemployed, middle class people, poor. She has no concern with businessmen etc. She is only pursuing her own interests. During this, Vice Chairman of Ex-Servicemen Department Deepak Bhatt, former MLA Master Chhote Lal Gangwar, District Vice President Dinesh Dadda, District General Secretary Zia Ur Rehman, District Vice President Junaid Hasan Advocate, District Vice President Suresh Balmiki, District General Secretary Pakija Khan, District General Secretary Ulfat Singh Katheria, Seva Dal Metropolitan President Mohsin Raza, Sajid Abbasi, Qamaruddin Saifi, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Department President Nishakat Ali etc. were present.
