Kanpur: The action of National Security Agency (NIA) is continuing in UP. Due to close ties with the Popular Front of India (PFI), the National Security Agency conducted raids in many districts of the state on Wednesday. The NIA team is continuously taking action across the state to break the links linked to terrorist organizations. In the same sequence, on Wednesday, NIA has also picked up a doctor family from Mulganj police station area of Kanpur for questioning.
This family of Kanpur has been brought to Mulganj police station where they are being interrogated in a closed room. However, not much information has come out in the entire matter yet. NIA has started raids in the entire state from Wednesday to investigate the close links with PFI. According to police sources, at around 11:30 in the morning, the NIA team reached Moolganj police station with four members of a family. Here they are being interrogated in a closed room.
According to sources, NIA has detained Dr. Abrar’s family. Information about who Dr. Abrar is and where he lives is not yet available. However, the police officer is not yet giving any information about the concerned family. It is being told by sources that Dr. Abrar funds the members of Popular Front of India (PFI). She is interrogating him only regarding his financial sources.
NIA team is active in the city
According to sources, five PFI members were sent to jail in December 2019 in the violence against CAA. Of these, three accused were sent to jail again in the Nai Sadak riots. One of them is suffering from a serious illness. The search for one is going on.
