Aligarh: NCRB figures show that Aligarh Police has got the first position in the state in punishing the worshipers. Under Operation Conviction, work was done under the supervision of SSP to punish the criminals. However, the SSP has given its credit to the guidance of his senior officers and the hard work of his subordinates and proper cooperation from the prosecution department. SSP Kala Nidhi Naithani said that the police made effective representation in the court and made the witnesses present on time. Due to which Aligarh Police has got the first position in the state in punishing criminals.
Effective advocacy against criminals
Various standards of punishment were also reviewed. As part of the campaign ‘Operation Conviction’ being run by the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters, effective advocacy is being done against the criminals to ensure their punishment. In this, heinous crimes like murder, robbery, rape, NDPS Act, dowry death etc. are being identified and punished in coordination with the prosecution department.
UP Police made ranking formula
Under the direction of SSP Kala Nidhi Naithani, the monitoring cell ensures timely presence of witnesses along with defending the cases pending in the court. By deputing the police station and the prosecution team, the cases are being prosecuted continuously. Better results are being achieved. The ranking formula for punishing criminals is also fixed. In which maximum 30 points have been kept for death penalty or life imprisonment and punishment more than 20 years, 20 points have been fixed for other punishments. 10 points are prescribed for punishment within one year of the charge sheet being filed. At the same time, 10 marks were fixed for the punishment given in Pasco and rape. In which the name of Aligarh Police is included in the first position. Aligarh has been placed in the category of having more than 25 police stations, whereas, in terms of providing punishment, Agra Police has come at second place and Kanpur Nagar Police has come at third place.
92 out of 140 people were punished in sensational cases
In Aligarh, death penalty, life imprisonment and more than 20 years have been given to 58 people. In other cases, punishment has been given against 354 people. Within one year of the charge sheet being filed, death penalty, life imprisonment and 20 years’ imprisonment were given to 8 people. Along with this, 140 people were identified in various sensational cases. In which 92 people were punished. Along with this, 40 people were punished for corruption and misconduct. Considering all these parameters, Aligarh’s ranking is at the first position.
