In Banda, UP, a woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her for dowry just seven months after her marriage. Also, a report has been lodged against her husband making serious allegations of being impotent. On the complaint of the woman, Tindwari police station got the husband’s medical examination done at the district hospital by a panel of four doctors Dr. Vineet Sachan, Dr. Hardayal, Dr. Ankit, Dr. Hdayesh Patel and a pathologist. A 32-year-old woman, resident of a village in Tindwari police station area, had filed a complaint in the police station on 26 October that her marriage took place on 6 May 2023 as per Hindu customs. After this I left for Hamirpur from my home. But this marriage was done by deceit, deception, lying and hiding the facts. I did not even get the pleasure of being wife to my husband. In this my husband’s elder brothers lied a lot. When I went to my in-laws’ house, I found my husband’s behavior wrong. He kept shying away from coming in front of me, speaking, sitting or lying down. When I asked, he said that I am of no use to you right now. My medicine is working. The woman further told that after hearing these words of her husband, I asked him why he cheated on me in such a situation? I complained about this to my mother-in-law, both my brothers-in-law and unmarried sister-in-law. After this everyone started telling me to wait. He said that I should not tell this to my parents. After this my brother-in-law told me that if my husband does not get well, he will make me his own. My brother-in-law’s intentions were not right.
