Bareilly: On Tuesday, the accused of raping a minor girl in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh has been sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 50 thousand has been imposed. The court has sentenced many other people in different cases. The plaintiff had filed a case at Shergarh police station in Bareilly Dehat regarding the accused repeatedly raping her 15-year-old minor niece and threatening to kill her. The police had registered an FIR against the accused under crime number 906/2013 under sections 376(2)N, 323,506 and 5/6 POCSO Act. The judge of the special POCSO court on Tuesday found the accused Mohanlal, resident of Nagariya Khurd of Shergarh police station area, guilty. In this, he was punished with 06 months imprisonment under Section 323, 05 years imprisonment under Section 506, 25 years rigorous imprisonment under Section 6 POCSO Act and a fine of Rs 50,000. Along with this, for non-payment of fine, additional punishment of 03 months imprisonment has been given. SP Crime Mukesh Pratap Singh, ADGC Subhav Mishra, Head Constable Sushil Kumar, Court Moharrir Court Special POCSO Court, Constable Arjun Singh etc. have mainly contributed in getting the accused punished.
2 years imprisonment to those accused of assault
In 2013, Sunil, a resident of Khalilpur of CBganj police station area of the city, had filed a case of injuring his father, mother and brother by beating them with sticks. In this, FIR was registered under section 308, 323, 325, 506, 34 under crime number 79/2016 against accused Amar Singh, his brother Govinda, Amar Singh’s son Gopal and second son Amit. In this case, ADJ 6 on Tuesday sentenced all the four accused to 04 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each. In this, under Section 323/34, 06 months rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 05-05 thousand, under Section 325, 34, 03 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10-10 thousand and under Section 506, 02 years rigorous imprisonment and 05 -A fine of Rs 05 thousand was imposed. A fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand has been imposed on all the accused. In case of non-payment of fine, additional imprisonment of 01 month will be given.
5 sentenced under Arms Act
Apart from this, in the crime number 353/2011 registered at Police Station Aliganj, Rajiv alias Allu, accused under Section 4/25 Arms Act, was punished with imprisonment for the period he spent in jail and a fine of Rs 1,000. Under crime number 30/2009 registered at police station Sirauli, Kamal Singh, accused of Section 25 Arms Act, was punished with imprisonment for the period spent in jail and a fine of Rs 1,000. Under crime number 709/2009 registered at police station Aliganj, section 4 /25 Arms Act accused Devcharan was punished with imprisonment for the period spent in jail and a fine of Rs 1,000. Under Section 4/25 Arms Act crime number 345/2022 of Police Station Cantt, Monu alias Mona, accused under Section 4/25 Arms Act, was sentenced to 14 months imprisonment. Was punished with a fine of Rs 5,000. Under the crime number 351/2011 registered at Kyoladiya police station, under section 4/25 of the Arms Act, the accused Pappu alias Nemchandra has been sentenced to undergo jail term and a fine of Rs 5,00.
