Bareilly : A joint team of ANTF (Anti Narcotics Task Force) and Meerganj police station have arrested four smack smugglers (drugs suppliers) in Mirganj, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. 300 grams of smack has been recovered from the accused. The price is said to be Rs 30 lakh. A report has been registered against all four smack smugglers in Mirganj police station and they have been sent to jail. Apart from this, Baheri police station has detained an opium smuggler. The police team has raided Karaura on Karaura-Gahwara road in Mirganj. In front of Bhamsen Tiraha, Rajeev, resident of Gehwara village of Mirganj police station area, Mushahid, resident of Mo Ansari town of Fatehganj West, Sohrab Khan alias Shoaib, resident of village Mohammadganj Mustkil of Mirganj, and Rohit Sharma, resident of Thiriya, elderly of Mirganj, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon. 300 grams of smack, four mobile phones and two bikes have been recovered from nearby. In Bareilly, properties worth crores of more than a dozen drug mafias have been confiscated, while the houses of many have been demolished with bulldozers. During police interrogation, the smugglers told that they smuggle smack. All four people had brought the smack from a person from Fatehganj West town. He met them on the highway. They do not know his name and address. They bring smack from Fatehganj and sell it to the customers at good prices. . Whatever profit they make, they divide it among themselves. The arrest team included SI Vikas Yadav of ANTF Bareilly Unit, constable Dinesh Kumar, Saurabh Chaudhary, Ankit Yadav, Ravindra Chaudhary, Kush Kumar, SI M Rajesh Mishra from Lucknow headquarters, constable Vigyan Ratna, Mirganj Inspector Kunwar Bahadur Singh, SI Jai Prakash, Constable Sajid Hussain, Vishal Tyagi, Subham Kumar, Vipul Khaiwal and Prashant Kumar were present.

Opium recovered from Jalis Kutti

Bareilly’s Bahedi Kotwali police has arrested an opium smuggler. 80 grams of opium has been recovered from Talpur Mohalla Jallis Patti of Bahedi police station area. Police have registered an FIR against the accused under 8/18 NDPS Act and sent him to jail.
