UP Govt Declares Holidays for School: Due to UP PET 2023 examinations to be held later this month, holiday has been declared in schools in 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh. UP PET 2023 exam will be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on 28 and 29 October. The state government has issued a directive indicating that no additional examinations will be scheduled on the scheduled days to ensure proper conduct of the examinations. Schools in 35 districts have also been given official orders to close their regular classes.

According to the information, this preventive action has been taken in the light that some of these institutes will serve as designated examination venues for UP PET 2023. The purpose of closing this school is to prevent disturbances and to provide a welcoming environment for the applicants appearing for the examination.
Exam will be held in two sessions
UPPSC PET exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift will run from 3 pm to 5 pm. UPPSC PET Admit Card is expected to be released soon. Once released, candidates can check the admit card at upsssc.gov.in. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for latest updates.

General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning are all included in the UPPSC PET syllabus, and the exam will have 100 MCQs of objective type. Candidates will have two hours to finish the exam, and each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 0.25 marks.
Important guidelines regarding examination
Candidates who are going to appear for UPPSC PET exam must bring the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid ID card on the day of the exam. Candidates who fail to bring their admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
