UP government will rejuvenate community health centers, select CHCs of 12 districts

Lucknow: The UP government will rejuvenate 13 community health centers in a total of 12 districts of the state. The districts where 1 community health center each will be rejuvenated include Shravasti, Ballia, Balrampur, Unnao, Kaushambi, Muzaffarnagar, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Lucknow, Badaun and Sultanpur. The upgradation process of two community health centers in Hapur district will be given concrete shape. The government will spend an amount of Rs 8.58 crore for the rejuvenation of all these 13 community health centres.

Capacity of primary health centers will increase

Among the 13 community health centers of the state in which the upgradation process is being implemented, Bahadurgarh and Gohra Alamgir of Hapur are prominent. Laxmanpur Bazaar of Shravasti, Sahatwar of Ballia, Unchgaon of Unnao, Karari of Kaushambi, Sisauli of Muzaffarnagar, Raipura of Chitrakoot, Sri Nagar of Mahoba, Behta of Lucknow, Islamnagar of Badaun and Dihadugdhupur Community Health Center of Sultanpur are also named among those community health centers. The centers are included in the process of upgrading them.

Focus on strengthening health infrastructures

CM Yogi Adityanath’s biggest focus is on strengthening health infrastructures. Work is going on on many projects in the medical sector in the state. Especially in government hospitals, primary health centres, community health centres, treatment and research institutes, along with installation of modern medical equipments, the process of fulfilling the infrastructural and basic needs and equipping them with world class facilities is going on. The quality of all the equipment to be purchased, the purchasing process and its compliance will be determined under the supervision of the purchasing officer. It will be ensured that the allocated funds are used only for the purpose for which they were intended to be used.

Efforts to modernize medical institutions

The government is making efforts to modernize many health and medical institutions of the state. In the same sequence, Rs 4 lakh for the purchase and installation of 2 baby transportation incubators in Lucknow-based Veerangana Avantibai Women’s Hospital, Rs 60 thousand for the purchase and installation of 3 ectoclave machines and Rs 9.40 for the purchase and installation of 6 warmer machines in MNCU. An amount of Rs lakh has been sanctioned.

Budget also released

Similarly, an amount of Rs 8 crore has been released for providing X-ray machine printer in Sirauli Gauspur Hospital of Barabanki and for the ongoing construction work in Para Medical Institute of Kannauj. After financial approval, an amount of Rs 3.08 crore has also been released as the first installment for the hospital with a capacity of 50 beds under construction in Loni Municipal Council of Ghaziabad.
