UP Flood: Furious form of Ganga seen in Varanasi, steps of ghats submerged, disturbance in coastal areas

UP flood: Varanasi, Due to increase in the pressure of Yamuna along with incessant rains in hilly areas, Ganga has assumed a fierce form in Varanasi. In the last 24 hours, due to increase in the water level by one and a half meter, most of the stairs of the ghats have been submerged, so the flood water is moving rapidly towards the urban area. Due to this, a situation of disturbance has arisen in the coastal urban and rural areas. Ganga crossing the warning point in Ballia is moving towards the danger mark. In Ghazipur, the water level is increasing at the rate of 14 cm per hour. The Central Water Commission has alerted the Ghazipur district administration. Here till Tuesday morning the water level will remain just half a meter below the danger mark. In Ghazipur, fields are getting submerged due to increase in water level by 14 cm per hour. The water level is also increasing in Mirzapur.
