A case of killing a calf of a banned pitbull has come to light in Jhansi’s Sipri Bazar area. Its video also went viral on social media. In the case, the police have registered an FIR against the Pitbull dog owner. An elderly woman resident of Nalganj in Sipri Bazar was walking her pitbull dog on the road. During this, the pitbull dog became violent after seeing a calf roaming there. After releasing the rope from the woman, he fell on the calf. In no time, he scratched the calf and seriously injured it. The calf died within a short time. According to SP City Gyanendra Singh, a report has been registered against the dog owner under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. On the other hand, Animal Welfare Officer of Jhansi Municipal Corporation, Dr. Raghavendra Singh told that keeping violent dogs like Pitbull, Rat Pillar in homes is prohibited. The Municipal Corporation does not make their license. Action will be taken if such dogs are found in homes.
