BJP leader Anuj Chowdhary shot dead in Moradabad
Anuj Chowdhary, a member of the state working committee of the BJP Kisan Morcha, was murdered in public. The incident took place outside his house in Parshwanath Apartment Colony of New Moradabad in the city. It is being told that Anuj was walking in the colony with his partner Puneet. Then three assailants who came from the motorcycle opened fire. Puneet is injured in the attack. Behind the incident, the enmity for the post of block chief of Asmoli-Sambhal is being told. In the case, an FIR has been registered against block chief Santosh Devi’s husband Prabhakar, son Aniket and their two accomplices.
Anuj Chaudhary, a native of Nekpur Mukhtarpur of Sambhal, started living in Parshwanath Apartment five years ago with a flat in the city. He had got two government gunners, while private gunners also lived with him. On Thursday late evening, as soon as he left the flat, he came to the colony premises. Then the ambushed attackers warned Puneet to run away and started firing. By the time Anuj Chowdhary’s gunner and others came out, the attackers had fled. Anuj Chaudhary died on the spot in the attack, while Puneet was admitted to a private hospital.
Anuj Chaudhary contested the election of Asmoli block chief in 2021 as a BJP candidate. He was defeated by 10 votes. A few days ago, he also brought a no-confidence motion. However, Santosh Devi had obtained a stay from the High Court even before the voting. There was a rivalry between Prabhakar and Anuj regarding this. Apart from the block chief’s husband and son, Amit and Pushpendra of Bhawalpur in Amroha have been named in the case. Pushpendra was defeated by Anuj in the election of the Kshetra Panchayat member. Apart from this, Anuj was also named in the Mohit firing case of Amroha. Senior Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena told that raids are being conducted in search of the accused, soon they will be arrested and the case will be disclosed.
