Bareilly : A case of attempt to kill a girl from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, over dowry has come to light in Uttarakhand. Twinkle Sahu, a resident of Suresh Sharma Nagar of Baradari police station area of the city, told the police that she was married to Shivam, a resident of Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. It happened with Sahu on February 22, 2017. After the marriage, husband Shivam Sahu, father-in-law Gangaram Sahu, mother-in-law Beena Sahu, sister-in-law Pooja Gupta and Priyanka Rathore started demanding Fortuner as dowry. Their daughter was born in the year 2019. When the demand was not met, on February 28, 2021, the husband tried to kill her by strangulating her with a scarf. She attacked with an iron rod, tore her head and broke one hand. The in-laws made her drink juice mixed with rat kill medicine. Twinkle’s health deteriorated due to this. Twinkle gave this information to her parents. They immediately reached their daughter’s house in Uttarakhand. Twinkle’s father told that on December 31, 2022, an attempt was made again to kill her by strangulation. But He reached with the police. After this his daughter’s life was saved. He came to his home in Bareilly with his daughter. After this he tried to talk to his in-laws. But, he was not ready to keep the Fortuner without 30 lakhs more. They spoke to Twinkle’s husband, but he threatened to kill the daughter if police action was taken on September 12. On Thursday evening, Baradari police lodged an FIR against the accused husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law. After this, the police Started investigating the matter.
Youth kills himself by hanging
Arjun, a resident of Rampura Nath of Barkheda police station area of Pilibhit district, who worked at a shop in Nawabganj police station area of Bareilly, committed suicide by hanging himself from a neem tree. Ramesh Chandra, the father of the deceased, said that on Thursday morning a Neem tree was found on Bijoria station road in Nawabganj. Committed suicide by hanging himself by tying a towel to a tree. On May 7 this year, Arjun was married to Rohini, a resident of Magarasa village of Bhuta. She had gone to her maternal home on the occasion of Diwali, but did not return after that. He went to his in-laws house to call, but his in-laws did not send his wife with him. Due to this, he was mentally stressed. He came out of his room in Nawabganj and hanged himself from a Neem tree near the farm on Bijoria Road. Laborers working in the fields nearby saw his body hanging. After this they informed the police about the incident. The police informed the relatives of the deceased. After identification, the body was sent for post-mortem. .
