Som Prakash alias Sonu (34), a resident of Datauli village of Fatehpur, committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan with a sheet in the room of Kumar Lodge located on the Railway Station Road of the city Kotwali area in Banda, UP. Around 10.00 am on Wednesday, when lodge worker Kallu went to clean his room, he found the door locked from inside. On receiving information from the lodge manager, the police reached the spot and somehow pushed open the door and brought down the body from the noose. Police found a suicide note lying on the bed. This note is addressed to the son. The mobile numbers of my father and father-in-law are also written below. It is written on the wall of the room, Betu love you, never be like your father. But the reason for suicide could not be clarified. The police is busy investigating this matter. The police informed the deceased’s father and father-in-law about the incident through the mobile number written in the suicide note. Lodge manager Anwar told that Sonu had booked the room at 10.00 am on Tuesday. He came to sleep at night after being out all day. The deceased’s father Rajwant Singh told that Sonu was his only son among three daughters. Used to work in a private company while staying outside. Had not come home for two and a half years. He had also switched off his mobile number. He is survived by his wife Pinky, one son Betu and two daughters Pari and Priya. Cousin brother Diwakar told that the reason for suicide is also not known. Kotwal Anoop Dubey said that the matter is being investigated. Prima facie it is suicide. A postmortem of the body has been done.

Betu love you, never be like your father. Let’s go son, for the last four days I have told God only one thing that even if I give the dog’s life, but keep it with my son only. Betu, I am not able to give up my life, God give me courage. Give it to me. Sonu’s brother-in-law Amit, who reached the spot regarding the suicide incident in the lodge, made serious allegations against him. Amit Singh, resident of Aliha village, told that Sonu was in love with some girl for two and a half years. He was not even paying attention to his family. Had ended the relationship completely. According to the information, Sonu had called Amit on Tuesday. Had asked to talk to his son Betu. He also made him talk to his son. After that he took this suicidal step.

10 bikes stolen from container after driver’s death in Prayagraj

10 bikes worth Rs 13 lakh were stolen from a container going from Uttarakhand to Jharkhand in Maheshganj of Nawabganj in Prayagraj. Before this, the suspected driver was found lying dead inside a container on the Kanpur-Varanasi Highway in Maheshganj. Police are claiming that the driver died in a road accident. In the case of missing bikes, a case of unknown theft is being registered and investigation is being done. Pradeep Pandey is a manager at SK Carriers located in Panki, Gangaganj, Kanpur. He told that on January 13, driver Diwakar Prasad Trivedi, resident of Sitapur, left with a container truck of his company from Bajaj Auto Plant in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. It was loaded with 41 Pulsar bikes of Bajaj which were to be delivered to the agency located in Giridih, Jharkhand. On January 15, the driver reached Kanpur with a container truck. From there he took advance diesel and left for further at 3:30.

He got a call at 10.00 am on 16th January. The caller, introducing himself as Mansoorabad outpost in-charge, informed that the container truck had met with an accident on the Kanpur-Varanasi highway in Ulda Maheshganj of Nawabganj. In this, the driver was found lying dead inside the container truck. The container truck has also gone into the ravine next to the highway. On receiving this information, when he arrived with another fellow employee, 10 bikes were found missing from the container truck. On being informed about this, the police kept investigating for hours but could not find anything about the missing bikes. Late night, on the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case of theft by unknown person. DCP Abhishek Bharti said that a case has been registered. Investigation is being done.
