Eight franchises participated in the auction of the teams of the UP T20 League, which is going to be held on the lines of the IPL, at a hotel in Lucknow. In which the auction was started with a base price of five crores. After checking the applications received in the morning, the bidding started in the afternoon.

For the league to be held in Green Park, the maximum fight took place to beat the Kanpur team. Ultimately, the Kanpur team was sold for around 7.25 crores. After this, the Varanasi team was bought by the JK group for 6.50 crores. Gorakhpur team was bought by Gaur Sons for 6 crores, Gautam Budh Nagar team was bought by Energy Solution for 5.75 crores and Meerut team was bought by Joint Venture of Aviation India Pvt. Ltd. for 5.50 crores. Has taken. After the auction of the team, now the players will be selected on 20 August.

Demand for big names

There are many big names in the UP T20 league who are making waves in the cricket world. All six franchises will try to buy these players. IPL players like Ankit Rajput, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Priyam Garg, Rinku Singh, Karan Sharma, Upendra Yadav, Akshdeep Nath, Aryan Jual, Shivam Mavi, Saurabh Kumar, Karthik Tyagi, Shivam Tyagi, Punank Tyagi will be eyed by the franchisees.

The colorful start of the league will be held on August 30 at Green Park in Kanpur. The finale will be on 16 September. Except for the opening, semi-finals and finals, there will be two matches each on the rest of the day. The first match will be from 3 to 7:30 pm. And the second one will run from eight o’clock till 1130 o’clock in the night. The players’ auction will be held in Lucknow on August 20. They will be selected by making three pools.

Eight companies bid for six teams

Like IPL, UP T20 league is being organized for the first time in the state. In which a total of eight companies have bid for the six participating teams. All these companies participated in the auction organized in a hotel in Lucknow. Before the start of the auction, all these companies deposited a demand draft of Rs 5 crore and 18 per cent GST in UPCA’s account. For the UP T20 League, UPCA has decided to name six teams after their major cities Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Noida.

Everyday two match day night competition

There will be 33 matches in the UP T-20 league including two semi-finals and one final. That’s why UPCA will conduct two matches in a day. Its schedule will be released after 20 August. That’s why there will be both day and night matches. Testing of flood lights has started in Green Park. Bad bulbs are being replaced so that there is no problem in the match.

Spectators will get free entry

Spectators’ entry will be free in the UP T-20 League to be held at Green Park. All matches will be played with white ball. Many galleries will be opened to protect the audience from the sun. The league will be held from 30 August to 16 September. UPCA has prepared its outline. For the first time this league is being organized in UP on the lines of IPL. In which UPCA wants to show the match to maximum number of people. The live telecast of the match will be on Jio TV.
