UP: CM Yogi will give edge to BJP’s agenda in Western UP through the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh, know the strategy

UP Politics: In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in UP, the ruling party BJP has started working on the ground as part of its strategy. On one hand, the party is preparing to take political advantage in the elections on the issue of Ram Temple, while on the other hand, area-wise local issues are being given an edge. In this context, the party has focused on wooing Jat voters in Western UP. The party first tried to woo Jat voters by making Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh the state president, whereas now CM Yogi Adityanath is going to give a big political message by unveiling the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh on Saturday. CM Yogi will unveil the 51 feet high statue of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on Farmers Day in Moradabad. Jat Sabha has organized this program on the birth anniversary of farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh. It is being claimed that one lakh people will attend the program. The organizers have sent invitations to all Jat and farmer leaders to participate in the program. CM Yogi Adityanath will be seen giving edge to BJP’s political agenda through this program. The important thing is that this program is also being considered as a part of BJP’s politics of pressure on RLD which is claiming rights on the legacy of Chaudhary Charan Singh. However, the invitation for the program has also been sent to RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary.

BJP wants to repeat 2014 performance

The issue of sugarcane dues payment to farmers has been a big topic in the politics of Western Uttar Pradesh. Chaudhary Charan Singh’s name is still taken with great respect. The entire politics of RLD has revolved around his name. First Chaudhary Charan Singh’s son Ajit Singh and now his grandson Jayant Chaudhary is carrying forward his politics through his grandfather’s name. In such a situation, CM Yogi Adityanath is busy in making BJP’s Mission 2024 agenda successful by inaugurating the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh. BJP feels that in this way it will be successful in repeating its 2014 performance in Moradabad division in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Chaudhary Charan Singh’s statue prepared within a year

According to Jat Mahasabha President Jitendra Chaudhary, the Chaudhary Charan Singh Memorial and Educational Institution Trust has constructed the statue. The work of construction of the statue was done within a year by purchasing 7 bighas of land. A five-storey Jat building, an auditorium and a 100-bed old age home are also being built. There are 5827 Jat dominated villages in Western UP. Therefore, there is an effort to provide free online education to the poor children of Jat community.

BJP was defeated on all six seats of Moradabad division.

In the Lok Sabha elections 2014, the BJP alliance was successful in winning 73 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. All six Lok Sabha seats of Moradabad division were also included in this. Whereas BJP did not get that much success in Lok Sabha 2019. Then the BJP alliance could win 64 seats. In such a situation, BJP strategists have already started preparing to compensate for the defeat on 16 seats this time. If we talk about Moradabad division, this area is the stronghold of Samajwadi Party. SP-BSP alliance had won all the six Lok Sabha seats of Moradabad division. Both the parties had won three seats each and BJP could not even open its account here. Among these, SP candidates won from Moradabad, Rampur and Sambhal Lok Sabha seats and BSP candidates won from Amroha, Bijnor and Nagina Lok Sabha seats. BJP stood second on all these six seats. After this, in the UP Assembly elections 2022 also, BJP had to face defeat on 17 out of 27 seats in the division.

Jat equation on six seats of Moradabad division

According to estimates, there are around one million Jat voters in these six Lok Sabha seats. Among these, there are one lakh Jat voters in Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency, 1.25 lakh each in Sambhal, Rampur and Nagina Lok Sabha constituency, 2 lakh in Amroha and three lakh in Bijnor. This number is approximate. On the basis of this, BJP is sharpening its strategy, because in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, its candidates had to face defeat by more than sixty thousand to one and a half lakh votes. In such a situation, this time she does not want to take any risk.

BJP’s strategy to corner SP-RLD

Actually, BJP strategists do not want the opposition to once again dominate it in this area. Therefore, special focus is being given here. This is the reason why BJP, while focusing on Jat voters in Western UP, first handed over the command of the state president to Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, who belongs to Moradabad. Along with this, Subhash Yaduvansh has been made in-charge of Western UP to challenge SP in this stronghold. Now along with unveiling the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh, an attempt is being made to solve many equations simultaneously through the farmers’ conference. Through this move, BJP is trying to siege RLD along with SP.
